Spring is a season of surprises. It is a waning of winter and a welcome to longer, lighter days and new opportunities. Spring is the season of strawberries and straw hats, spinach and sunglasses, roses and rose.
In my garden, the bulbs that we planted in autumn are always the first to announce spring’s arrival. The freesia came first, followed by narcissus and delicate daffodil. My sweet peas unfurled from their pod, are exploding and I see the coastal lilac budding. The jasmine is in full bloom and in the dewy, dark mornings offers her intoxicating, sweet smell. Every turn introduces new growth, and that fresh, and yet familiar, scent of anew.
I wish you wellness amid this spring – a time of year, even during these tricky times, abundant and abloom.
